All Politics Is Local....Get Involved Locally

Citizen participation is needed at the local level now more than ever. As your thoughts turn to planning for 2017, we have 3 suggestions of ways that you can get involved in our community:

• Go to your Town and Wasatch County Council meetings. You can sign up for meeting notifications at the Utah Public Notice website. The Wasatch Wave also publishes the time and location for regularly scheduled meetings.

• Serve on a board or commission. No need to run for office - just apply! Please consider taking a position on one of the local boards or commissions. Contact the governing entity for open positions.

• Get involved with the Young Democrats. Wasatch County Democrats are forming a chapter of the Young Democrats of Utah. This is an official caucus of the Utah Democratic Party and it is designated to promote awareness and involvement of all individuals under the age of 36 in the political process.
